I ran into some neighbors today at coffee and just learned that they have recently started a business in Westlake Village that is developing Solar Energy and renewable energy sources. I am so excited about this. My new marketing assistant was sharing with me that she remembers writing and essay in 6th grade about Solar Power. Here it is thirty years later. Finally the general public is getting on board! Going Green for the Home

It’s officially a trend: smart grid companies building or buying software that will manage energy consumption within the home. This morning smart grid networking company Silver Spring Networks announced that it plans to buy Greenbox Technology, a 2-year-old startup founded by the creators of the well-known interactive web technology Flash, which has built software to measure a home’s energy consumption. The companies wouldn’t disclose the price of the acquisition agreement.

Great news in Real Estate. Interest rates remain low! Housing prices have become more afforable! And contract activity for pending home sales has risen for six straight months, a pattern not seen in the history of the index since it began in 2001, according to NAR. This is great news!
